Music Director Opening: St Teresa of Avila, Summit, NJ

Job Description

 We are an engaging and flourishing parish of approximately 1,400 families in Summit, New Jersey. 

The Director of Music and Liturgical Ministries responsibilities are:

Plan liturgies, supervise music staff, recruit train, and direct paid and volunteer cantors;
Recruit, direct, supervise, train and organize the parish choir;
Coordinate/plan all weekend liturgies including Lectors, EMs, and Sacristans;
Play organ/piano at Masses, holidays and Holy Days of Obligation;
Coordinate music and play at Penance Services and all First Communion and Confirmation Masses and/or ceremonies;
Coordinate the Wedding process with all couples, scheduling meetings, planning and documentation;
Other duties as assigned.

Salary commensurate with experience.
