Founded in 1981 by Robert Pollock with support from the NJ State Council on the Arts, CGNJ has, since its inception, presented concerts, festivals, and international exchanges.

Entering the new millennium CGNJ continues to adapt to the needs and interests of a new public, making available information about NJ composers through new media.
